Just like your fireplace and chimney, pellet stoves should be inspected and cleaned annually by a licensed professional.

Although pellet stoves are generally easier to use than a conventional fireplace, they do require more maintenance because of electrical and electronic controls and moving parts of the stove.

• Inspection and cleaning of ash traps.
• Inspection and cleaning exhaust passages.
• Inspection, cleaning and lubrication of fans and motors.
• Inspection and cleaing of the pellet hopper and fuel feed system.
• Inspection and cleaning of the heat exchanger.
• Inspection and cleaning of the exhaust pipes.
• Inspection and resealing the venting system if required.
• Inspection and calibration of the stove settings with proper gauges and meters.
• Inspection of all mechanical and electric/electronic components.
